Some days, I will browse and browse searching for the perfect undiscovered shop to share with you all, but this morning I found this shop in under five minutes! My response upon discovery: "Too cute! I am featuring this one for sure!" 

iddy biddy is an Etsy, undiscovered shop currently focused on the making of these adorable iddy biddy baby bonnets. They come in a variety of colors and the yo-yos are so bright and vibrant! They would make a great baby shower gift!

Fun and Wacky Wednesday with Craft-Tastrophe

 

When I find items like this on Etsy, it always makes me wish that I was more outgoing and willing to make a louder statement with my style - these shoes rock! Craft-Tastrophe offers a variety of hand-painted heels, boots, flats and sneakers. They are often bright and vibrant in color and are great for adding some interest to your wardrobe! 

Tuesday Talk - Dahlias

Some of my favorite flowers are Dahlias. Not only do they come in a variety of styles, shapes, color combinations and hues, they are tall and strong. They are well loved by the community in my area, as they grow annually at Point Defiance Park one of my favorite places to visit with my husband in the summer months.

If you are interested in growing dahlias you may want to check out the American Dahlia Society or Dahlia.com. for tips and resources. I am looking forward to someday enjoying these flowers in a garden that my husband and I will grow together.

Must Have Monday - The Perfect Clutch

I must say that Sveika is an awesome shop! If you are looking for some amazing clutches to compliment your wardrobe, you should swing by! The clutches are made of linen and leather and supported with a hidden layer of double canvas to keep its shape. These are definitely on my wish list this year!

A Day of Rest and So Relaxed with Osayin Holistics

Yum! The smell of lemongrass has always had a soothing quality for me. So, I started asking some of my favorite bath and body shops on Etsy if they could make a soap with this wonderful scent. Osayin Holistics came to the rescue! In the next couple of days I will be ordering my bars of soap; I am very excited! The best part is that I have shopped with her before, and the experience has always been wonderful. I look forward to trying this new product!

Let's Play, It's Saturday!

On Saturday's when it is pleasantly sunny and the outdoors are beckoning you to take a walk in the park or head to the waterfront, you should always be able to do so in a stylish way! MiMS offers these beautiful convertible backpacks that are perfect for transitioning from that walk in the park to a date night. You can start your day with the backpack (as pictured above) and then with a tug of the straps go to dinner with a shoulder bag (as pictured below). Such a great idea!

All I can say is "Too cute!" Curls of Sunshine is a great shop to stop by for a variety of Amigurumi Crochet patterns. There are little ladybugs like the one pictured above, birds, cupcakes, monkeys and rabbits! If you are looking for a new project to work on this may just be the shop for you!

With Spring around the corner and Summer weddings on their way, there is much planning to do for the bride. Tuesday Talk - Love Grows

 

When I married my husband a little over a year ago, after nine months of dating, I was so deeply in love with him! Not only was he the man I had always hoped would be in my life, he was so much more. Now, as we work toward our second year of marriage I can honestly say that my love for him has only grown. I did not know that it was possible to love someone this much, to have a deep love overflow and spread into my everyday life. My husband is my best friend, my encourager and my source of strength. Running Art Whims would not be possible without him. I am so thankful to have him in my life! I love you Drew!

When I came across this clock by TECO ART in the geekery section on Etsy, I was drawn in by the bright colors and its modern feel. Some even hold paper clips like the one above or business cards! These would make great gifts for teachers, coworkers, the tech savvy, or dads!

Of the many great products found on Etsy, a favorite of mine is the wide range of handmade washcloths. One of Etsy's newer shops, Bliss Things sells the lovely washcloths pictured above. What makes me really excited to share these washcloths with you is that they are hand-crocheted with 100 percent cotton yarn. If you are looking for a new shop you should definitely swing by this one and see all the great products!

I was looking through my Blog, wondering how I can make it better and more interesting for my readers, followers, and fans. And one thing that I came to realize is that the Blog is in need of a remodel and this makeover needs to have a schedule! Starting today Art Whims will be commited to the following blog schedule:

• Monday: Must Have Mondays - This column will feature some of my favorite Etsians and new gadgets for creating.
  
• Tuesday: Tuesday Talk - This column will focus on all things Art Whims and Art Whims Paper. There will be new product features, insights to creative visions and processes, and opportunities to get to know the creator better- that's me!
  
• Wednesday: Fun and Wacky Wednesday - This column will explore the world of the unique, wacky and fun on Etsy, featuring artists that capture such fun elements in art, jewelry, sculpture, and much more.
